Lonergan takes coaching job at GW

? Mike Lonergan is coming home, taking the men’s basketball coaching job at George Washington after six successful seasons in Vermont.

Lonergan signed a five-year contract with George Washington on Friday to replace Karl Hobbs, who was fired last month.

Kansas University assistant Joe Dooley, a graduate of GW, interviewed for the job earlier this week.
