? Freshman Diamond Dixon set a Kansas University record with her time of 52.96 seconds in the 400 at the Arkansas Twilight track and field meet on Friday.

Dixon placed second in the event and trimmed nearly seven-tenths of a second off of her previous collegiate best time of 53.62 which she ran at the Kansas Relays in late April.

The Jayhawks got first-place finishes out of freshman Charlene Brown in the women’s 5,000 meters (18:59.70) and the men’s 4×400-meter relay team.
