Kansas track relay sets record

— Kansas University’s 1,600 relay team of Kendra Bradley, Shayla Wilson, Denesha Morris and Diamond Dixon placed eighth in a school-record clocking of 3:33.0 at Saturday’s NCAA Outdoor Championships.

KU junior Rebeka Stowe placed seventh in the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:07.73.

Junior Donny Wasinger was 14th in the 1,500 in 3:55.63. He led the race for two laps.

The KU men earned 14 points and finished 18th overall. The women collected 13 points to finish 23rd.

The Jayhawks will send several athletes to Eugene, Ore., in two weeks for the USA Senior and Junior Championships June 22-25.
