Kansas University swimmer Stephanie Payne finished the 200-meter butterfly in 2:16.39 at sectionals over the weekend in Columbia, Mo., and earned a trip to Omaha, Neb., in June for the Olympic Trials.
Payne, a senior from Derby, and several KU teammates are competing for Kansas Aquatics this summer. That team won sectionals with 33 total points.
