KU ranked No. 2 in both polls

The Kansas men’s basketball team is ranked No. 2 in both national polls released Monday.

The Jayhawks moved up one spot in the Associated Press ranking, picking up 14 of 65 first-place votes. Ohio State was first, followed by KU, BYU, Duke and Pittsburgh.

In the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll, Ohio State leaped KU to become the new No. 1, picking up 17 first-place votes.

The Jayhawks, who remained at No. 2, took the other 14 first-place votes.

BYU, Duke and Pittsburgh rounded out the top five.
