Palm Desert, Calif. ? Alex Gutesha placed 12th individually, and Kansas University men’s golf was 12th in the team standings at the season-opening Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Sunday.
Gutesha shot 74-74-74-222.
Kansas’ other golfers were: Chris Gilbert, tied for 25th, 226; Nate Barbee, tied for 68th, 235; Doug Quinones, tied for 88th, 242. Jeff Bell was disqualified.
