KU soccer falls to CU

? Caroline Kastor scored a goal for Kansas University in the first 19 seconds, but the Jayhawks fell to Colorado, 2-1 in overtime, on Monday at Prentup Field.

The Jayhawks fell to 5-13 overall and finished Big 12 with a 1-9 record. KU has lost three straight games by one goal.

The Buffaloes improved to 7-9-2 overall and 3-5-1 in conference play.

On the opening kickoff, senior Kaitlyn Cunningham sent a long pass and connected with Kastor, who beat the goalkeeper for her third goal of the season. The Kansas goal was the quickest to start a match in team history.

Kansas goalkeeper Kat Liebetrau made 11 saves. Her 114 saves this season are the fourth-most in team history.

Kansas will host SIU-Edwardsville at 3 p.m. Friday in the final match of the season at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex.
