Columbia, Mo. ? Freshman Mason Finley won the shot put, while junior Jordan Scott took home the title in the pole vault to lead the Kansas University men’s track and field team to a fifth-place standing after the second day Saturday of the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
On the women’s side, KU freshman Andrea Geubelle placed second in the long jump to pace the Jayhawks, who sat in fifth place after Day 2.
The completion of the outdoor championships will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday.
