Rich Dalrymple, vice president/public relations for the Dallas Cowboys, contacted the Journal-World on behalf of his boss, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, to issue the following statement:
“Mr. Jones has not been involved in any discussions recently or within the past several months regarding conference realignment in college athletics. He has emphatically and deliberately made all efforts to steer clear of the recent issues involving realignment. Any sources who provide information to the contrary are absolutely incorrect.”
Dalrymple’s statement came in response to Tom Keegan’s column that cited a source saying that Jones has a vision of Big 12 Conference expansion that includes Notre Dame and Arkansas.
