KU junior wins soccer crown

? Kansas University junior Emily Cressy recorded an assist on the game-winning goal Sunday as the Eagles Soccer Club earned its third national championship with a 2-1 victory over the Arizona Rush in the U.S. National Women’s U-23 Cup final at the Overland Park Soccer Complex.

Cressy, one of seven members of the Eagles SC to participate in all three championships, had a big tournament, with three goals and an assist to help her team to victories in all four of its matches.

The final featured three current Jayhawks — Cressy for the Eagles, as well as senior Erin Ellefson and sophomore Whitney Berry for the Arizona Rush.
