Kansas University’s basketball team will make four appearances on ESPN’s Big Monday during the 2010-11 season, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday.

KU will play home games against Missouri (Feb. 7) and Oklahoma State (Feb. 21) and travel to Baylor (Jan. 17) and Kansas State (Feb. 14).

This will mark the fifth straight year KU has had four Big Monday appearances. It’s just the third time in Bill Self’s eight years at KU that the Jayhawks have had two or more home games.

The Jayhawks have played Missouri on Big Monday each of the past eight seasons and have faced Oklahoma State four times, Kansas State twice and Baylor once during the Big 12 era (starting 1996-97).

Since the inception of the Big 12, KU is 38-14 all-time on Big Monday (21-1 at home, 17-13 road), including 19-7 under head coach Bill Self. KU has won 14 straight Big Monday games in Allen Fieldhouse, which includes a 10-0 mark under Self.

The first Big Monday will be a doubleheader. KSU will travel to Missouri at 4:30 p.m., with KU to play at Baylor at 8:30 p.m., on Jan. 17. Other Big Monday games: Baylor at KSU, Jan. 24; Texas at Texas A&M, Jan. 31; KSU at Texas, Feb. 28.
