Four-star football recruit Dave Clark, who last month committed to play at Kansas University and was expected to enroll for the spring semester, will no longer be attending KU, a university spokesman said Wednesday.
Clark, a cornerback who spent the past two seasons at Independence (Kan.) Community College, told Rivals.com that he was late getting his paperwork in and was later informed that he wasn’t admitted into the university.
One of two defensive backs committed to Kansas, Clark missed the entire 2009 season with a torn ACL but is still ranked by Rivals as the nation’s 39th-best junior college prospect.
Clark’s departure leaves the Jayhawks with just 12 known commitments in the Class of 2010.
