Former Kansas University shortstop David Narodowski on Monday was named to the 2009 All-Canadian College Baseball Team, which was selected by the publishers of CanadianBaseballNetwork.com.
Narodowski, a shortstop from Vancouver, B.C., hit .354 with eight home runs and 43 RBIs in his only season at Kansas in 2009.
He became the first Jayhawk to be named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year after transferring to KU before the 2009 season.
Following his junior season, the Arizona Diamondbacks drafted Narodowski in the 15th round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft in June. In his first pro season, he batted .233 with seven homers, 22 RBIs for the Missoula Osprey in the Pioneer League.
