KU’s opponent Monday night, Texas A&M, moved into both rankings, coming in at No. 24 in the AP and No. 23 in the coaches poll.
Other Big 12 teams that earned rankings were: Kansas State (seventh AP, seventh coaches), Texas (15th AP, 17th coaches) and Baylor (22nd AP, 22nd coaches).
