Kansas University’s soccer team defeated Oral Roberts, 5-3, Sunday afternoon at Tulsa, Okla.
Freshman midfielder Shelby Williamson led KU (8-2-1) with two goals.
The Jayhawks started the scoring early, taking a 1-0 lead on a goal by forward Emily Cressy 21 seconds in. Williamson added two goals before halftime to give KU a 3-1 advantage.
KU pulled away from Oral Roberts (3-5) with help from second half goals by midfielders Monica Dolinsky and Sarah Robbins. Dolinsky’s goal was her fourth of the season.
KU resumes Big 12 Conference play with a trip to Texas A&M this coming Friday.
