KU football moves up to 16th, 18th in national polls

The Kansas football team moved up the national rankings this week, jumping three spots to No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and two spots to No. 18 in the Associated Press poll.

KU snapped Southern Mississippi’s eight-game winning streak with a 35-28 victory Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The other Big 12 teams ranked in the polls are: Texas (second AP, second Coaches), Oklahoma (eighth, eighth), Oklahoma State (14th, 12th), Nebraska (23rd, 24th), and Missouri (NR, 23rd). Texas A&M also received a vote in the Coaches poll.
