Self clinic Oct. 23-24
Bill Self’s annual basketball coaches’ clinic will be held Oct. 23-24 in Allen Fieldhouse. Guest speaker Del Harris will address the coaches following practice on Oct. 23. Harris has been in the coaching profession for more than 50 years, including being named the NBA coach of the year in 1994-95 with the Los Angeles Lakers. The clinic officially begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Information is available at kuathletics.com.
Payne to visit Oct. 31
Adreian Payne, a 6-foot-10, 215-pound senior center from Jefferson High School in Dayton, Ohio, will make his official basketball recruiting visit to Kansas University the weekend of Oct. 31, Rivals.com reports. Payne has a final list of KU, Kentucky, Arizona, West Virginia and Michigan State.
