• Punter Alonso Rojas twice gave Baylor horrible field position.

• Dezmon Briscoe, a match for the Texas talent, had 101 receiving yards and returned a kick 98 yards for a touchdown.
• Johnathan Wilson had three catches for 64 yards, including a 47-yard reception.

• Filling in for injured Jake Sharp, freshman Toben Opurum rushed for 70 yards and two TDs and had three receptions for 50 yards. He made an outstanding one-handed catch.
• DE Maxwell Onyegbule returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown.

• S Chris Harris was all over the field. He had seven tackles, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and broke up a pass.
• RB Toben Opurum had a memorable debut, rushing for 79 yards and two TDs.
• WR Kerry Meier had 115 receiving yards and did an even better job of blocking.

• CB Anthony Davis was flagged three times for pass interference. The first was declined.
