Kansas University quarterback Todd Reesing was named one of 16 finalists for the Campbell Trophy, it was announced Thursday.
Given annually to the nation’s top scholar-athlete, the award was formerly known as the Draddy Trophy before being renamed after William V. Campbell, a former player and coach at Columbia University.
As a finalist, Reesing will receive an $18,000 scholarship to be used toward postgraduate studies. The winner will receive $25,000 in scholarship money.
Reesing, a senior from Austin, Texas, is currently ranked among the national leaders in passing yards, completions and total offense.
