I was in Las Vegas last week when my dad texted me the news. So sad. I had only been on the hoops SID (sports information director) job a couple months when Coach Williams was offered the UNC job the first time, and you remember the media circus that ensued. After it was all said and done and Coach announced he was staying, I found a hand-written note in my mailbox from Dr. Frederick saying I did a great job handling all the media during that time and he was proud of me. I still have that letter. He was a great man.
