? Danielle McCray had her sixth straight game of scoring 20 or more points, but it wasn’t enough for Kansas University’s women’s basketball team on Saturday.

McCray led the Jayhawks with 20 points, but KU suffered a 74-60 Border War setback to the Tigers.

Kansas dropped to 13-8 overall and 2-6 in the Big 12 Conference. Missouri improved to 11-11 and 2-6.

McCray scored KU’s first eight points.

After six lead changes and three ties, MU went on a 15-3 run to build a 24-12 lead at the 9:12 mark in the first half. The Tigers led by as many as 13 points, and, despite a 9-1 KU run late, by 11 at halftime.

The Tigers’ lead never dwindled to single digits after intermission.

Jessra Johnson came off the bench to lead the Tigers with 20 points.

Kansas shot 38 percent from the field (21-of-55), compared to 53 percent by the Tigers.

Junior LaChelda Jacobs contributed 17 points on six-of-11 shooting for KU, and freshman Aishah Sutherland grabbed eight rebounds.

Missouri outscored the Jayhawks in the paint, 30-16.

Though KU was charged with 18 turnovers to the Tigers’ 15, KU outscored MU, 17-15, in points off turnovers.

Kansas will take to the road again when it plays No. 16-ranked Texas in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday. The game will tip off at 7 p.m.
