Kansas men’s golf in 10th at Baylor

? Nate Barbee shot a first-day 153 to lead Kansas University’s men’s golf team to a 10th-place showing after two rounds of the Baylor Intercollegiate on Monday at Royal Oaks Country Club.

The Jayhawks shot a first-round 314 then shaved 11 strokes for the second round to finish with 617 strokes. Texas A&M leads with 577.

Barbee shot 78-75-153 to finish the day in 34th place.

Other KU results: Andrew Storm, tied for 43rd, 155; Ian Anson and Walt Koelbel, tied for 52nd, 157; and Blake Giroux, tied for 61st, 163.

The tournament will resume today.
