Powers ties for 6th; KU women’s golf 5th

? Emily Powers’s season-low 221 helped lead Kansas University’s women’s golf team to a fifth-place finish Tuesday at the Johnie Imes Invitational.

Powers tied for sixth overall.

Mississippi won the team title with 900 strokes. KU was fifth with 913.

KU’s other results: Jennifer Clark and Meghna Bal, 228, tied for 14th; Grace Thiry, 237, tied for 39th; and Kalynd Carson, 246, tied for 62nd.
