The Chicago Bears placed veteran offensive tackle Fred Miller on injured reserve and elevated receiver Brandon Rideau from the practice squad on Saturday.
Officially listed with a shoulder injury, Miller appeared in just six games and played mostly on special teams in his 13th season.
Miller appeared in 192 games — 52 with Chicago the past four years.
A fourth-year pro from Kansas University, Rideau spent the first 11 weeks on the practice squad after catching five passes for a team-leading 127 yards and three touchdowns in the preseason.
