KU’s Powers 87th at NCAA regional

? Kansas University’s Emily Powers shaved three shots off her first-round score and was tied for 87th Friday after two rounds of the NCAA West Golf Regional.

Powers followed a first-round 80 with a 77 on Friday at the Lincoln Hills Golf Course.

The sophomore started the day with a double bogey before running off five straight pars. She then lost four strokes in the next four holes before playing the final eight holes at 1-under par. The final round is today.
