The Kansas University women’s basketball team extended its season at least three more days with an 82-60 win over Evansville Monday night in Allen Fieldhouse to open the WNIT.
The Jayhawks are now 2-0 in WNIT openers, having done the same two years ago at home.
The win sets up a second round game at Michigan State’s Breslin Center Thursday night at 6 p.m. (CDT).
Sophomore Danielle McCray led four Jayhawks in double figures with 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Sophomore Sade Morris scored 16, as she and McCray combined to go 5-of-5 from three-point range. KU was 9-of-13 from distance as a team.
Sophomore Kelly Kohn and freshman Krysten Boogaard each tallied 10.
