Kansas women beat Nebraska

? Taylor McIntosh and Sade Morris tied for team-high honors with 13 points apiece, and Kelly Kohn added 11 off the bench as Kansas University’s women’s basketball team beat Nebraska, 73-67, in the first round of the Big 12 tournament on Tuesday at Municipal Auditorium.

KU, the tournament’s No. 11 seed, snapped a five-game losing streak and won the season series with the sixth-seeded Huskers, two games to one.

The Jayhawks will face third-seeded Oklahoma State at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Cowgirls earned a first-round bye.
