Four Kansas athletes in Olympic track trials

Three Kansas University track and field athletes – seniors Ashley Brown and Crystal Manning and sophomore Jordan Scott – will compete in the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore.

And junior Nickesha Anderson will try to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games this weekend and the Jamaican Olympic Trials in Kingston, Jamaica.

Brown will compete in the 400-meter hurdles, Manning in the triple jump and Scott in the pole vault. The prelims for all three of those events will be today, with finals slated for Sunday.

Anderson will compete in the 100 and 200 meters at the Jamaican Olympic Trials, which also conclude Sunday.
