Erin, Wis. ? Kansas University women’s golfer Emily Powers reached the round of 16 before bowing out at the United States Women’s Amateur Public Links tournament on Thursday.
Powers, a junior-to-be at KU, dropped a closely-contested match, 3-and-2, against fourth-seeded Lauren Doughtie of Suffolk, Va., on Thursday afternoon.
