Kansas University freshman guard Travis Releford is one of 25 players invited to USA Basketball’s Under 18 national team trials July 1-3 at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
The 25 athletes will compete for 12 roster spots on the U18 team that will compete at the 2008 FIBA Americas U18 Championship July 14-18 in Formosa, Argentina.
Releford averaged 24.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists his senior season at Roeland Park Miege.
Davidson’s Bob McKillop is the squad’s head coach. He’ll be assisted by Virginia Commonwealth’s Anthony Grant and Georgetown’s John Thompson III.
