KU baseball coach headed to Europe

Kansas University baseball coach Ritch Price, who is serving as an assistant coach with the USA Baseball National Collegiate team this summer, boarded a plane Wednesday for Europe.

The USA Baseball squad will compete in an international tournament in The Netherlands starting this weekend, then play a game in Germany while on the way to the Czech Republic for the FISU World Collegiate Championships.

Rob Walton of Oral Roberts is head coach of the U.S. team. The other aides are Jerry Meyers of Old Dominion and Nino Giarratano of San Francisco.
