Pinkel not sold on Arrowhead

By Associated Press     Jan 26, 2008

At his first news conference in Columbia, Mo., after his team’s Cotton Bowl victory, Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel was asked if he would be interested in continuing to play the series with Kansas University in Arrowhead Stadium beyond the current two-year contract that expires after the 2008 game.

“I think you have to watch yourself a little bit there,” Pinkel said. “Certainly, we saw the event it was, but I also think that there is a time you’ve got to play your rival on your own campus, personally. Time will tell. People a lot higher up than me will make those decisions. I’m just a ball coach here. We’ll see what happens.”
