KU assistant Beck heads to Nebraska

By J-W Staff Reports     Jan 7, 2008

Kansas University assistant football coach Tim Beck officially has been hired to coach running backs at Nebraska.

The Huskers made the announcement on Monday, ironically the same day new Nebraska coach Bo Pelini was preparing for one last game – the BCS National Championship Game – as defensive coordinator of LSU.

Beck and Pelini went to high school together in Youngstown, Ohio. Beck spent three years as KU’s wide-receivers coach and was a key recruiter in talent-rich Texas.
