Jayhawks top Cyclones in final Big 12 dual

? Senior Terri Schramka and junior Maria Mayrovich led Kansas to its second Big 12 dual-meet victory of the season as the Jayhawks defeated Iowa State, 188-106, at Beyer Pool on the ISU campus.

Schramka recorded individual victories in the 50- and 150-yard backstroke events and was a member of the winning 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays. Mayrovich clocked in first in the 50- and 150-yard freestyle events and joined Schramka on the first-place 200-yard medley and free relays.

In diving, freshman Erin Mertz captured top honors on both the one- (307.65) and three-meter (302.33) boards, while senior Jenny Roberts finished second on the three-meter board (293.33). Meghan Proehl and Hannah McMacken reeled in fourth and fifth, respectively, on the one-meter board.

The victory over the Cyclones moved Kansas to 7-2 overall (2-1, Big 12) heading into the Big 12 Conference Championships on Feb. 27.
