Waco, Texas ? Jhasmin Player will miss the rest of the season for No. 6 Baylor after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee Saturday.
Player, who was averaging 12.2 points, 6 rebounds and 3.5 assists, was injured on a fast-break layup in the first half of Saturday’s 63-49 victory over No. 18 Kansas State.
In addition to the ACL tear, Player sprained her medial collateral ligament.
