Kansas football players Todd Reesing and Darrell Stuckey earned Big 12 player of the week honors after helping the Jayhawks to a 40-37 victory over Missouri on Saturday.
Reesing was named the conference’s offensive player of the week, while Stuckey was honored as the league’s defensive player of the week.
Reesing finished 37-for-51 with 375 passing yards and four touchdowns. He also led KU to a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the game-winning TD pass to Kerry Meier with 27 seconds left.
Stuckey, meanwhile, had a hand in three MU turnovers. He had two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also had a pass breakup and tied for the team lead with six tackles.
Stuckey became KU’s first defensive player to win a conference weekly honor since Charlton Keith in 2005.
The Jayhawks (7-5, 4-4) will know of their bowl destination by Sunday.
