Distance runners go long for Kansas

? A quartet of Kansas University long-distance runners competed at the Drake Relays on Thursday.

Colby Wissel took ninth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:57.32. Fellow senior Paul Hefferon ran the 5,000-meter race in 14:26.32, good for 10th place.

On the womens’ side, Hayley Harbert and Kara Windisch finished 20th and 21st, respectively, in the 5,000-meter with times of 17:37.86 and 17:38.78.

The Drake Relays continue today and Saturday.
