Today’s storm knocked out a Douglas County outdoor storm warning siren at Eagle Bend golf course.

Douglas County Emergency Management Director Teri Smith said lightning struck the siren at 1245 E 1000 Rd. about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The siren will not be repaired until Friday.

“We encourage people to tune to local media outlets or listen to a weather radio to stay informed,” Smith said.
