Boulder, Co. ? Freshman Caleb Patterson is leaving the University of Colorado basketball team.
Coach Jeff Bzdelik said Monday that Patterson asked to be released from his scholarship.
Patterson, a 6-foot-11 center/forward, averaged 1.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 14 games and one start for the Buffaloes last season.
