KU women’s golf fifth

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team placed fifth of 18 teams at the Nebraska Chip-N Club Invitational on Tuesday at Woodlands Hill Golf Course.

Sophomore Emily Powers tied for 10th place with a total score of 224 (76-73-75). Annie Giangrosso shot 74 in the third round to advance to 12th place at 227.

Meghan Bal placed 29th at 234, while Meghan Gockel tied for 41st at 239. Sydney Wilson finished in a tie for 58th at 243 and Grace Thiry, who played as an individual, tied for 18th place. The Jayhawks finished 10 strokes behind Big 12 rival Nebraska.
