KU volleyball upended by MSU

? Kansas University’s volleyball team fell to Michigan State, three games to two, Friday night at the Spartan Invitational.

The Jayhawks lost, 30-16, 26-30, 30-22, 19-30, 15-4.

Sophomore Brittany Williams led the KU offense with 13 kills, while senior Caitlin Mahoney had a team-best .500 hitting percentage. Libero Melissa Manda registered a team-high 11 digs.

Emily Brown had seven blocks.

KU fell to 2-2. MSU improved to 2-3.

Kansas coach Ray Bechard remains one victory away becoming winningest coach in KU volleyball history.

KU will meet Florida State and Missouri State today at the invitational.
