? New Illinois State basketball coach Tim Jankovich has hired the first full-time member of his Redbird coaching staff.

He’s University of Michigan assistant coach Mike Jackson, who, according to the Detroit Free Press was “the most successful recruiter under former coach Tommy Amaker.”

Amaker was recently fired at Michigan. Former Kansas University assistant Jankovich recently was hired at ISU to replace Porter Moser, who was fired after four seasons.

Rumors indicate Jankovich may hire former KU administrative assistant Sean Harrington as an assistant. Harrington currently works at Northern Illinois, where Ricardo Patton took over for Rob Judson, Harrington’s former NIU boss.
