? The Kansas University men’s golf team is tied for fourth place after two rounds of play at the CU-Stevinson Ranch Invitational.

The Jayhawks opened with a round of 294, then followed that up with a round of 304 in round two for a two-day team total of 598.

KU was led by senior Tyler Docking, who finished the two rounds of play at 2-over 146.

“The weather really got tough at the end of the day and we really struggled down the stretch,” said KU head coach Ross Randall. “We probably lost over 10 combined strokes as a team over the last two holes. It is a little disappointing because we were in contention, but hopefully we can regroup and play better tomorrow.”

Senior Gary Woodland is tied for 28th place after shooting a 151. Sophomore Walt Koelbel is also tied for 28th after firing rounds of 73 and 78.

Junior Joey Mundy carded a 152 after two rounds and is currently tied for 32nd place. Sophomore Zach Pederson, who is competing as an individual, is tied for 35th after a two-round total of 153. Freshman Bobby Knowles sits in a tie for 58th after shooting a two-round score of 157.

Wichita State currently leads the tournament with 572 strokes, and is followed by Colorado and Missouri. KU sits in a four-way tie for fourth place with Illinois State, UC-Santa Barbara and UC-Davis.

The final round of play will be this morning.
