Golfer Woodland earns medalist honors

? Former Kansas University golfer Gary Woodland tied for medalist honors at the Kansas Amateur at Shawnee Country Club and will enter match play as the second seed.

Woodland fired a second-round 72 on Wednesday and tied Wes Stonestreet at 5-under-par 137.

Former KU golfer Barrett Martens shot a second-day 72 and will enter the match-play tournament as the No. 36 seed.

Zach Pederson shot a second-round 75.
