Iowa State stops Texas

? Lyndsey Medders scored 23 points and had six assists to lead Iowa State past No. 22 Texas, 67-56, Thursday. Toccara Ross added 15 points – including 9-of-11 free throws – for the Cyclones (14-4, 2-3 Big 12), who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Iowa State held Tiffany Jackson, the Longhorns’ leading scorer, to seven points – 12 below her average.

Medders scored 15 in the second half, hitting a three-pointer as the shot clock expired to stop a Texas run. She made four three-pointers in the game.

No. 17 Texas A&M 74, Colorado 58

College Station, Texas – Takia Starks, A’Quonesia Franklin and La Toya Micheaux scored 13 points apiece to lead No. 17 Texas A&M.
