In her continued pursuit to add more of an inside presence to the 2007-08 roster, Kansas University women’s basketball coach Bonnie

Henrickson will play host to a potential lane-filler this weekend.

Jess Fuller, a 6-foot-3 sophomore forward from Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y., will visit Lawrence before the Jayhawks head off to next week’s Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City.

Fuller, who played high school ball at Francis Lewis in Queens, N.Y., helped the Lady Tribunes to the 2006 NJCAA National Championship, with a record of 31-1. It was the school’s third straight title, and its fourth in six years. Monroe is currently ranked No. 4 in the NJCAA Women’s Division I poll with a 25-2 record.

Fuller’s team-high 11.1 rebounds per game ranks her 21st in the nation. She also leads the Lady Tribunes in scoring, putting away 14.3 points per game while shooting 63.5 percent from the floor.

Alongside Kansas in the hunt for Fuller’s services are Miami (Fla.), Georgia, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Henrickson has already landed one potential post presence for next season in 6-3 Krysten Boogaard. The forward out of Regina, Saskatchewan, committed to KU last month.
