Ex-Jayhawk Battle fourth at U.S. Indoor

? Former Kansas University track-and-field standout Sheldon Battle took fourth place in the shot put Sunday at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championship.

The six-time All-American putted a personal-best 66-feet, 5-inches in the event. During his time at Kansas, Battle was the 2006 Big 12 Conference champion in the indoor shot put and a two-time All-American in the event.
