The Kansas University soccer team added nine players for the 2007 season.

Eight players signed nationals letters of intent, KU coach Mark Francis announced Friday, and Taylor Blue of Olathe also joined the roster.

Blue already has enrolled in classes and will play with the Jayhawks during the 2007 spring season.

KU’s signees include: Emily Cressy (Ventura, Calif.), Kaitlyn Cunningham (Geneva, Ill.), Erin Ellefson (Overland Park), Lauren Jackson (Long Beach, Calif.), Erin Lewis (Stilwell), Geneva Magness (Overland Park), Rachel Morris (Overland Park) and Katie Williams (Houston).

The eight freshmen will join Blue and 20 returning players for the Jayhawks this fall.

“We are very excited about this class,” Francis said. “The number of quality players and the depth of this group will help our program continue to rise.”

The Jayhawks finished 11-7-1 last fall.
