No. 24 Cowgirls end nonleague slate on high note

? Andrea Riley scored 20 points, and No. 24 Oklahoma State wrapped up its nonconference schedule with an 85-39 victory against Texas Southern Saturday night.

Riley, who was perfect from the field (6-of-6) in the first half, also had six steals, one shy of her career high. The sophomore finished 8-of-10 from the floor and her first missed field goal did not come until there was 6:52 remaining in the contest.

Danielle Green added 14 points, nine rebounds and five steals, and Shaunte Smith posted 11 points and nine boards.

The Cowgirls (9-0) went on a 15-4 run early in the opening half and took a 24-9 lead after back-to-back three-pointers by Taylor Hardeman. Oklahoma State scored nine straight points to close the period and held a 38-18 advantage at halftime. Oklahoma State, which will travel to Kansas University for its Big 12 opener on Jan. 9, has won 23 consecutive home games against nonconference opponents.
