? The Chicago Bears have placed cornerback Nate Vasher on injured reserve and signed wide receiver Brandon Rideau to their 53-man roster.

Rideau, a former Kansas University standout, originally joined the Bears in 2006 and spent the season on Chicago’s practice squad.

Rideau remained with the team in 2007, catching five passes in two preseason games before an ankle injury sidelined him. He was waived Aug. 27.

Rideau completed his KU career in 2004 with 131 catches for 1,636 yards. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2005.
